Those who have mineral resources need to be determined to produce diverse and stable economies for tomorrow. In many ways, the mineral industry's contribution to national economies is far from realized.

The mining sector in particular requires a long-term perspective due to lead times in exploration. There is a tremendous benefit associated with this often not realized by markets that continue to focus on short-term investments. History tells us that once a mine is in production, the investment is solid. Expected lifespan of each of Minatura’s projects is estimated to go well beyond 15 years.

Long-term value creation is important in today’s society. Large scale social and economic changes take time to implement. Minatura serves to engineer change from the ground up and is acting now on the future potential which Colombia has to offer all stakeholders.

The serious investor realizes how social and environmental policies within a mining company play a significant part in securing a mining license. The immobility of mineral deposits means that localized communities are much more important stakeholders for mining than for most other industries. A broad stakeholder group needs to be considered especially because poor and politically marginalized people commonly live in these areas. If done right, there lays a tremendous amount of potential in benefiting the lives of all stakeholders involved; investors, employees and communities.

Minatura emphasizes bringing communities whatever is collectively valued and needed, and to individuals, economic interdependence by creating economic, social and humanitarian opportunities. We realize that our success depends on being able to explore, develop and operate mines in a way that improves the lives of our local communities.

While maximizing returns for our partners is a critical part of our mining operations, Minatura is actively seeking partners who are also looking for returns in forms of global conservation and sustainability.
